Arrive here, now.

Sense & Presence Retreat Costa Rica

Imagine arriving in a place where the jungle meets the ocean, where the rhythm of nature invites you inward.

Welcome to the Sense and Presence Retreat, designed for practitioners who are ready to deepen their path, explore their edges, and reconnect with presence in a setting that is raw, real, and alive.

This retreat takes place in one of the most remote regions of Costa Rica, surrounded by untouched jungle and the sounds of the wild. You’ll be immersed in nature. That means ocean waves, tropical heat, vibrant flora, and yes, wildlife in all its forms. It’s all part of the experience.

If you're ready to meet yourself more fully, in your body, in your practice, and in the jungle, this is your invitation.

About the Retreat

The Sense and Presence Retreat is an invitation to reconnect—through movement, breath, stillness, and the senses. It’s a space for committed practitioners to deepen their inner work, supported by nature, by practice, and by community.

Each day, we explore presence not as an idea, but as something lived and felt in the body, in the breath, and in relationship with our surrounding and others. The remote jungle setting becomes part of the experience: the sounds, the textures, the unpredictability of the wild all invite you to meet the moment as it is.

You won’t come here to escape. You’ll come to arrive, fully. Through daily practices you’ll explore what it means to stay present, especially when it’s unfamiliar or uncomfortable. There will be space to rest, reflect, and connect, both with yourself and with others walking the same path.

The practices will include:

  • yoga asana

  • breathwork

  • meditation

  • journaling

  • and more

This retreat is about listening more closely, sensing more deeply, and expanding your capacity to stay present with what arises. It’s a space to grow, to feel, to share, and to remember what it means to be fully here.

Location & Venue

Our retreat takes place at Finca Exotica, a remote eco-lodge tucked between the rainforest and the ocean on Costa Rica’s Osa Peninsula. Life here moves with the rhythm of the wild. You’ll wake to the sounds of howler monkeys, fall asleep to the ocean, and spend your days surrounded by raw, untouched nature.

Finca Exotica offers a setting that invites presence. Whether you’re walking barefoot through the garden paths, pausing to feel the ocean breeze, or sharing meals made from organic, locally grown ingredients, the environment itself becomes part of your practice.

The Hosts

This retreat is held by Adriana and Krystsina—two longtime practitioners and teachers who share a deep commitment to embodied presence, honest exploration, and intentional living. Their teaching is shaped by curiosity, care, and the belief that presence isn’t something we master, but something we return to, again and again.

Together, they hold space with attentiveness and clarity, inviting each participant to explore their own experience with depth, softness, and self-awareness.

Testimonials

  • The Sense & Presence retreat was amazing. It made me feel so grateful to be alive and in awe of nature and my connection to it. The place itself was magical, and with Adi and Krystsina’s guidance, I was able to work through some personal stuff that had been weighing on me. It honestly felt like a huge knot in my chest just came loose, and I left with so much more clarity and a deeper sense of being present in my life.

    Sina

  • Deeply relaxing and rejuvenating in a stunning natural setting, grounding practices nicely blended with more adventurous experiences allowing for deeper reconnection to ourself but also to others with always a joyful atmosphere.

    Gaelle

  • Many new impressions due to the out-another-world- environment, alertness in the body, strength, emotionally safe and content

    Rebecca

  • The most surprising and transformative part of the retreat for me was when Adi led us through a meditation. I don’t have a ton of experience with meditation, so I wasn’t sure what to expect, but something shifted in me during that session. It honestly felt like it healed a deep wound I’ve been carrying since childhood. I really think that was only possible because of the space we were in, Adi's calm energy, and the trust that was built over the course of the retreat. It was a combination of everything that made it such a powerful experience for me.

  • You two are a very great and loveable team! I felt very well looked after, THANK YOU!

    Anja

  • I honestly didn’t know what to expect, so I was surprised by just how immersed in nature the retreat space and bedrooms were. You’re truly part of the jungle – the sounds, the weather, the bugs – all of it. At first, it took some adjusting, but after a while, I found that I didn’t mind any of it. In fact, it became a key part of the experience. Accepting the discomfort and learning to find comfort in that really helped me stay open to the transformative journey of the retreat.

FAQ

  • This retreat is designed for practitioners who already have some experience with yoga and feel ready to explore their practice more deeply. While you don’t need to be advanced, a certain level of familiarity and body awareness is helpful, as the practices can be both physically and emotionally challenging.

  • Yes—Costa Rica is considered one of the safest countries in Central America and welcomes travelers from around the world. That said, Finca Exotica is located in a very remote part of the country, which means fewer people and more nature. As with all travel, we recommend using common sense, staying hydrated, and respecting your surroundings.

  • This retreat takes place in the jungle, where insects and other wildlife are part of daily life. While the accommodations are well-kept and the beds have mosquito nets, you’ll likely encounter creatures you’re not used to. If you’re open to stepping out of your comfort zone and embracing nature in its raw form, this can be a deeply enriching experience. If not, this may not be the right setting for you.

  • Finca Exotica is situated by Carate Beach in Osa Peninsula, accessible by private charter jet, taxi, or bus. We recommend flying to Puerto Jimenez and then taking a taxi from there. We can organize a taxi for you upon request.

  • We recommend bringing some cash (USD or CR Colones) for extra activities, taxis or souvenirs. There is no ATM and no shops at Finca Exotica. Sometimes there are locals selling beautiful handmade products like bags, jewelry and more.

  • Once you're registered, you will receive a checklist for what to bring. In general, we recommend travelling light. Most people come with only a backpack.

  • We ask all participants to show up to every session, even if it means simply being present in the space. You’re always invited to participate in a way that feels right for you—whether that’s moving fully, resting, or simply observing. Each practice is part of a greater arc, and your presence matters—not just for you, but for the group.

  • We understand that unexpected things can happen. Please know that all deposits are non-refundable, and the remaining balance is refundable only up until the final payment deadline. After that, we’re unable to offer refunds, as we have committed costs on our end. We recommend booking travel insurance to protect your investment in case of unforeseen changes. If you have questions about your specific situation, feel free to reach out—we’re happy to talk.

  • Absolutely! The retreat will be held in English but together the instructors speak 6+ languages. Most participants will not have English as their first language and it's always fun to find ways to communicate outside of our own language.

  • This retreat is designed as a space for personal exploration, rest, and connection, both individually and within the group. To support this, we ask that participants come on their own—without pets or children—so that everyone can fully immerse themselves in the experience. We deeply appreciate your understanding.
